Taste The Rainbow

What if the seven spectrums of colors collided unto your table &spilled into your dish, would you taste it? Would you allow the blues to fill you with peace, the yellows to fill your smiles with light, the Reds to walk with you in a majestic boldness? Would you let Orange permeate through your veins illuminating your aura with a glow that prepares the Purples to reign and usher you to a journey blazed with Royal accompaniment? And, would you allow the Greens to surround you in a meadow filled with luck following the tales of a lucky leprechaun?

There is a fascinating energy surrounding rainbows. Whether it's because they aren't seen frequently or the mere fact that they appear after rainstorms, its beauty still remains one which all of us are captivated by. However the reality is a rainbow is actually a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. Okay so reflection, refraction and dispersion are what cause such a magical view that leaves many in awe. Hmmm…

Though some people are great friends with GOOGLE, I have not abandoned Webster! And, Webster tells me a reflection is -the throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it. Webster also tells me that refraction is the fact or phenomenon of light, radio waves, etc., being deflected and dispersion is the action or process of distributing things or people over a wide area. With a vivid imagination, of course the comparison to faith emerges.

Rumi says, “All religions, all this singing one song. The differences are just illusion and vanity. The sun’s light looks a little different on this wall than it does on that wall, and a lot different on this other one, but it’s still one light.” The magic of the rainbow is that it took reflective moments and changed them (that’s the refraction) while simultaneously spreading tiny water droplets into ONE beautiful outcome.

To taste the rainbow one should look be honest in those reflective moments. Be honest with yourself about your short comings and your strengths. Your short comings indicate what type of energies you’d need to apply if you want to turn them into strengths and your strengths are always an asset in that it’s your marketable point. If you singing is you strength, your voice can be shared as an outlet of enjoyment to others. If your strength is mathematics, your expertise can be shared with those who have a hard time with numbers. For in the sharing of your strengths is the dispersing process where the true beauty of the rainbow is displayed. Before you get into “kumbayah” mode remember the refraction, the deflecting attribute of the rainbow. Note: No one considers asking the sun how it feels about melting snow, it simply appears day after day shining and melting away the ice until there’s no more. Therefore, use a deflective method against the negativity that will come your way. This is where you become the rainbow; the magic which has everyone captivated by its beauty. Your kindness, strengths, faith and assets are designed to melt away the negative forces around you- you must simply tap into it and put it in motion.

Instead of looking to others to bring you the peace you seek, be the peace, the gift and the rainbow. Be an example of faith and hope. Let your actions carry the slogan- “Taste the Rainbow” as you walk in the things you hope for.
